Arranging for Small Groups
Most a cappella arranging courses focus on writing 6+ part arrangements to be sung by 10+ people. How does arranging change, though, when there are only going to be single voices on each part, and you may not even have 6 people in your group? We'll discuss the common pitfalls when switching your mindset over from large- to small-group arranging, what works and doesn't with single voices, and how to make the most of each note, phrase, chord, and voice part at your disposal.
