Everybody wants to sing the bass! Being a successful bass vocalist in a contemporary a cappella group requires many skills and knowledge sets. Through active performance and listening exercises, Evan Sanders from Accent will address tone quality, groove and attack, blend, harmony and function, style mimicry, critical listening. All skill levels AND voice ranges welcome; even if you're not a bass, you can learn something to help the bass in your group.

Evan Sanders

Evan Sanders graduated from Boston University with a degree in psychology and a minor in music. After years of performing in instrumental and vocal jazz ensembles, he eventually secured a faculty appointment at BU and spent 6 years directing jazz groups.
